Before you send a single one of these

A free list is the most common way a good domain gets ruined. Four steps, in this order, and you need all four.

1. Check every address is real. Every time. Bounces are the quickest way for Gmail and Outlook to spot that you are emailing a bought list, and your bounce rate climbs before your emails stop landing.
2. Remove duplicate companies, not just duplicate addresses. Emailing four people at the same company in one week gets your message forwarded around internally, reported once by all of them, and sometimes blocked across their whole company.
3. Remove anyone who already said no. People who unsubscribed, replied asking you to stop, or are already customers. In most countries this is a legal requirement, and everywhere it is how you avoid complaints.
4. Build up slowly. Fifteen emails per inbox per day to start, increasing only while your bounce rate stays low. A clean domain pointed at an unchecked list fails exactly like the last one did, only faster.

Are these really free?

Yes, and there is no signup. They are published by Warm Inboxes, which we operate.

Are the emails verified?

Treat every downloaded list as unverified until you have run it through a verifier yourself. That is true of any free list from any source, and bounces are what burn domains.

Can I just load one of these and start sending?

You can, and it is the fastest way to lose a domain. Check the addresses are real, remove duplicate companies, remove anyone who has already said no, then build up slowly. Your list is the thing most likely to ruin your inboxes.

How up to date are they?

Work email addresses go stale constantly as people change jobs. Anything that has been sitting unused for more than three months should be re-checked before you send to it.

What is the catch?
